We have accomplished a lot in the last several years.

• We played a key role in electing a Democrat, Bill Owens, to the House  to the (former) 23rd District –the first time that Democrats has held this seat since 1854.
• Essex County Democrats played an important role in electing a Democrat to the House in the (former) 20th US Congressional District, a district with a Republican voting majority. In the most recent countywide election.
• Julie Garcia, the Democratic  candidate for DA, received more votes on the Democratic ballot line than the Republican candidate received on the Republican line. At the local level, we are beginning to elect Democrats in places like the town of Schroon where no Democrats have ever been elected before.
